Every Wednesday New Muslim Classes at the CID, Halifax

INTRODUCTION to Islamic Teachings and Practice, for New Muslims and Non Muslims

This course helps prepares the New Muslim to understand his or her chosen path to worship the sole Creator, Allah Subhanhu wa ta'ala (Glorified and High). Topics and presentations will also be of value to non-Muslims who may be curious about Islam.

Topics will include but are not limited to:

Islamic Terms, Who is Allah, His Oneness, Understanding the Shahada or testimony of faith, Forms of Shirk (association), Divine Attributes, Jesus (PBOH) in Islam, Miracles in the Qur'an, Women in Islam, Muhammad PBOH, Salat (prayer), the Pillars of Islam, Prophets and Revelation, Angels, Jinn, Death, After Death,Resurrection, Personal Accountability, Muslim's Beliefs, The Soul, Paradise, Punishment,
Special Attention will be given to a Question and Answer Period after each class.

Class times: Every Wednesday starting January 27 for 12 weeks,
6PM to 7PM Lecture, 7PM to 7:30PM Question and Answers
Where: Center for Islamic Development 2728 Robie Street, Halifax, Nova Scotia (Entrance is on St. Albans St., across from Speedy Mufler)
COST: Free (Donations Accepted)

Bi-weekly social get-together where families and individuals meet at the Center with Potluck dinner.
Time: 6:00 pm sharp
When: Every second Saturday of the Month,

New Muslim Class
This class is for new and old converts to have a formal classroom setting to learn more about Islam, to have questions answered and to share and solve any issue that pertain to daily living as a convert (i.e. how to deal with family members who are non-Muslim during their holidays).

The class is on Monday nights at 7:00pm at the Center, 2728 Robie Street.

Everybody is welcome. It usually lasts around 1 hour and a half.
We are currently at the topic of Prayers.
